Our Care Centre will be able to assist you to make the appointment. Please
call our Care Centre Officers at 6397 6966 or email them at care@healthwaymedical.com. We are available 24hrs, 7 days a week.
2. How long is the whole treatment process going to take?
It depends on the complexity of the condition, length of hospital stay and the follow up check-up.
3. How long does it take for an appointment to be made?
It usually takes about 2 days but if the case is urgent, we will be able to expedite your appointment.
4. Do we need to apply for a visa to Singapore?
It depends on which is the country of origin. To check if you require a visa please go to our Immigration Portal. If
you do require a visa, we can assist you in getting the letter from the hospital stating the purpose of the visit and the
medical condition.
5. How much are the charges of the whole treatment?
It depends on the condition of the patient. We can provide you with an estimated bill size in accordance with your
treatment. After a consultation with our Specialist a more accurate bill size can be made known to you.
6. If I am not sure of which specialist to consult, what should I do?
Our International Patient Care Centre will be able to assist you based on your medical condition and refers you to
the suitable specialist. Please feel free to call our Care Centre Officers at 6397 6966 or email them at

7. I have an medical insurance coverage in my country. Will my treatment expenses be covered here by my insurance
company?
You will need to contact your insurance company to find out if your insurance policy/ies cover/s overseas medical
expenses and its/their limits.
8. If my medical insurance company has confirmed that my policy does cover my treatment, what should I need to do?
You will need to get a letter of guarantee from your insurance company. If your insurance company has an
arrangement with us, we can assist to get the letter of guarantee but you might still have to make payment based
on non-deductibles or co-payment. But this will depend on case by case basis.
9. What kind of medical information should I bring along?
Please bring along all your medical reports, films or any medication that you are currently on.
10. What are the payment modes available?
Payment can be made in Cash, Nets and all major Credit Cards.
11. If I cannot speak English, how can I make myself understood?
If really necessary, our International Care Centre will be able to arrange an Interpreter for you at a fee.
12. How can my accommodations be arranged?
Our Care Centre officers will be able to assist in arranging your accommodation during you stay here according to
your preference. You can choose to stay in the vicinity of the hospital you are visiting or along our Orchard Road
shopping belt. You can also choose from budget hostel to a six-star hotel or serviced apartments.
13. How would my transportation be arranged?
For a fee, our Care Centre officers can arrange for airport transfers and rental of vehicle during your whole stay
here. Do let them know if a chauffeur is required.
14. If I am leaving the country but my medical results are not out yet, how do I retrieve it?
Our International Patient Care Centre will arrange for the medical results or reports to be emailed or posted to you.
15. How do I get tax refund on my medical expenses?
GST Refunds can be made for unconsumed medication, medical supplies and medical consumables at Singapore
Changi Airport before departure with all the necessary receipts and documents subject to terms and conditions.
16. What if my prescription finishes when I return back to my country?
Usually our Specialist will write a prescription form for you to purchase the correct medication in your country’s
pharmacy.
