Our senior consultant ENT surgeon is Dr Ranjit Gabriel Magherra, who is also a head and neck cancer surgeon and thyroid surgeon. He received his clinical fellowship training in Greenlane Hospital in Auckland (now Auckland City Hospital), New Zealand, which is the largest hospital in New Zealand and one of the highest volume head and neck cancer surgery centres in the world.

He has been in active clinical practice for almost 20 years, and now brings his wealth of experience and expertise to patients under the extended Healthway Medical family.

General ENT services offered include:

• Flexible nasoendoscopy
• Removal of ear, nose and throat foreign body (e.g. fish-bone removal)
• Removal of ear wax
• Tonsil surgery (elective removal or urgent drainage of tonsil abscess)
• Fine endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)

More specialized services include:

• Sleep Study and evaluation of sleep disorders
• Head and neck cancer evaluation and surgery (including neck lymph node biopsy and surgery on nose and oral cancers)
• Thyroid surgery
